My Writing Process

I have always ensured that my writing process is simple but precise. To make sure I do not leave anything out, I have also made systematic. It is usually a three step process for me. There is the pre-writing, the writing and the post-writing. In the prewriting step, I mostly prepare for the real task. The post-writing step is intended for ensuring that everything is in order and that there are no errors or omissions.

In the prewriting step, I have always preferred to use a set of questions. I write these questions down and answer them in point form. I then rearrange the information so that it makes the most sense. Then, I rewrite the information in the required format in the order of the rearranged questions. During this step, I may require to make additions to my paper which I do. Finally, I go through the post-writing step. Here, I go through my paper slowly and look for any errors. Sometimes I may find errors or omissions which I correct appropriately. Ensuring that I do every step faithfully ensures that I do not leave anything out or send a paper that is incomprehensible.

Usually, academic writing includes more research. I also have to include references for my writing. While following these steps, I incorporate referencing in every step when doing academic writing. After completing my papers, I format them to make sure they are acceptable depending on who my audience is.
