Solar Energy

Day after day the world generates carbon dioxide which is released into the atmosphere. The increased carbon dioxide emitted depletes the ozone layer raising the heat emitted on the earth’s surface resulting to global warming. The carbon dioxide emission is as a result using carbon producing sources of energy and which are mostly non-renewable. To ensure a reduced carbon emission and saving the non-renewable resources the world requires adopting the usage of renewable resources of energy and which emit no carbon dioxide.

Solar qualifies to be the best source of safe and renewable energy. From an environmental viewpoint solar is the best thing. For instance, a PV system producing 1.5 kilowatt will keep away carbon dioxide amounting to 110,000 pounds from the atmosphere and which is the major greenhouse gas (Altenergy, 2014). Solar power will also prevent the necessity to burn 60,000 pounds of energy producing coal. With solar energy the earth is guaranteed of the disappearance of acid rain, urban smog and pollution (Energy.Gov, 2014).

People with grid linked houses are opting for grid-interactive solar systems since they do not emit greenhouse gases.  From an engineering viewpoint, grid forms a tremendous resource. This is because any grid-tied PV structure is more effectual, greener and much cheaper compared to the backwoods one. It is even more efficient since the inverter is able to track the modules, that is, maximum power curve as compared to the lower voltage required. It is even greener since batteries are not required that contain chemicals and emit sulfurous gases (Altenergy, 2014).

The sun is truly a resource that we have wasted and ignored for a long time. After the oil reserves get depleted along with coal sources and at the same time having destroyed our environment then we will turn to solar energy. However, I hope that we will not get there and we will start using solar energy immediately.
