(b)    Jeanne bought a dress marked RM42 and the paid the cashier a total of RM43.47. Calculate the sale tax rate.                                                
(c)    Marvin took the University Mathematics test. All the questions have equal value. He answered 38 of the questions correctly. This was 95% of the questions. Determine the number of questions in this test.                 

(d)    The pie chart below shows the total enrollment of students at Wawasan Open University during January 2014 semester, broken down into seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.  Use the pie chart given in Figure 2, answer the following questions: 

If the number of sophomores in the January 2014 semester was 20% higher than the number of sophomores in the January 2013 semester, how many sophomores were enrolled in January 2013?       
                                                                                                              
If the areas of sectors in the pie chart are drawn in proportion to the percentages shown, what is the measure, in degrees, of the central angle sector representing the percentage of juniors?

(c)    The number of bicycle produced in a factory each day is a function of the number of hours (t) the assembly line is in operation that day and is given by   n=P(t)=75t-2t^2. The cost C of producing the bicycles is a function of the number of bicycles produced and is given by   C(n)=7n+1000.
(i)    Determine a function that gives the cost of producing the bicycles in terms of the number of hours the assembly line is functioning on a given day.
(ii)    Determine the cost of the bicycles produced on a day when the assembly line was functioning 12 hours.

  (b)    Given that the equation is y=1/2 x+2.

(c)    Azlan has RM50000 to invest. Part of this money is to be invested in non-insured bonds paying 15% annual interest. The rest of this money is to be invested in Amanah Saham 1Malaysia of deposit paying 7% annual interest. He requires RM6000 per year in extra income from both of these investments. Calculate the total amount that he should be placed in each investment.
