1. Students will development an event marketing plan for an actual event/activity for the purpose of promoting and conducting the function.
2. The event/activity may include, but is not limited to, an athletic event, recreational or community function or professional development activity.
3. The marketing plan must target a specific group of people (ie, age group, gender, etc)
4. The marketing plan must include the following components (these are your headings):
a. mission statement
b. marketing objective
c. situational analysis
i. strengths
ii. weaknesses
iii. opportunities
iv. threats
d. target market selection
e. marketing mix
i. product
ii. price
iii. place
iv. promotion
f. implementation timeline or phases
5. The plan should not exceed two pages. The plan should include the name of the function and should be single spaced, with double spacing between components. Students may choose a two-column format.
6. The project must be submitted by the indicated deadline via assignment drop box.
