For this week’s discussion, let’s talk about plagiarism and the impact it can have on your career.
For the first part of your initial post, do a search on the Internet and find a story about plagiarism in the professional
world and discuss what you found by answering the following:

 
• Was the person guilty of plagiarism negatively impacted by being caught?
• Were there career repercussions?
• With information so readily available on the Internet, have attitudes about plagiarism changed?
For the second part of your initial post, access the short slide presentation on “Source Use & Abuse” and the
SafeAssign tutorial video below. You will apply information from this presentation by submitting your IRP assignment
and viewing the SafeAssign Originality Report BEFORE officially submitting it for grading. In this way you are able to
use SafeAssign as an editing tool to ensure you do not have any accidental plagiarism. If you DO have accidental
plagiarism, correct it and then submit your plagiarism-free IRP again to the same assignment link.
