Discussion: Evaluating a Resource
As you learned from this week’s resources, there are many academic, library, and Internet databases you can use to search for resources related to your research topic. The resources also suggest a process for searching and criteria for screening the resources you find. In this Discussion, you will share ideas about how to develop your own process and criteria that takes into consideration your final goal: finding the most relevant resources that will help you to complete you literature review and address your research questions.
To prepare for this activity, look ahead to the Course Project assignments for this week (Annotated Resource List) see below and in Week 4 (Review of Literature).see below Explore the Walden Library for resources as directed in this week’s Course Project assignment. After conducting a preliminary search, select one of the resources that you determined was not sufficiently credible to use in your literature review. How did you determine that you could not use it? Against what criteria were you evaluating the resource?
By Day 3**ASSIGNMENT***
Post the APA citation of the resource and a brief description of its contents. Then evaluate the resource as it relates to your research questions or problem statement. Describe how you came to the conclusion that you should not use this resource for your literature review. Be sure to refer to this week’s resources to support your response.

Wk3 Project: Annotated Resource List
In order to gain insight into what others have learned about your topic, this week you will begin your search for resources in the Walden Library and create an annotated list of resources. At the library you will find detailed instructions on locating articles from professional journals. For additional information on searching in the Walden Library, explore the links under the “How Do I?” section on the Walden Library home page. For this assignment, you will need to use full-text articles or have access through other sites to obtain the complete articles. It is not appropriate to use abstracts for this assignment or for your literature review.
Wk 4Project: Review of Literature
For this assignment, you will undertake a review of literature based upon the research problem and question(s) you developed in Week 2. You should use 4 to 7 primary sources of research material, at least 2 of which must be articles from a professional journal. Other sources may include texts and published research reports. In addition, you may use valid and reliable Internet resources to supplement these primary sources.
