  The position statement of AACN on the Doctorate in nursing practice has changed nursing education practice thorough the commending that the practice education of advanced nursing to be moved to the doctoral level. One of the achievements is that it develops and evaluates new nursing theories and theories from other discipline (Carlson, 2015). It has also integrated nursing science with ethics’ knowledge, analytical, organizational sciences and psychosocial for the highest nursing practice level basis. Organizational and systems leadership has improved the healthcare and patient outcome and they help to improve health disparities.

Another achievement is that it has developed and evaluates care delivery approaches which meet future and current needs of scientific findings’ of patients population in nursing and other clinical sciences. It has also ensured quality healthcare and patient safety accountability for population who they work with. It has designed and implemented processes that evaluate, practice patterns, practice outcomes and care systems within a health care organization against national benchmarks in determining population trends and practice outcomes variances. It has also helped in using information technology appropriately in predicting and analysing outcomes identified practice outcomes gaps and has examined behaviour and outcome pattern.

Carter, 2011, it has created a framework that impedes health care deliveries or health provider ability in engaging in practices that address health care needs. It has influenced multiple care delivery issues like   cultural sensitivity, ethics, access to care, quality of care, health disparities, the internationalization of health care, issues of equity, health care financing, and social justice in the delivery of health care. It has helped DNP students in utilizing information technology in improving and supporting patient care and healthcare systems and has helped them in providing leadership within their academic setting and healthcare system.

It has prepared the DNP graduates to design implement and influence health care policies that practice regulation, access, frame health care financing, safety, quality and efficacy. It has also provided, evaluated and developed leadership for health care policy shaping healthcare delivery, financing and regulation. It has also employed collaborative skills and effective communication in the implementation and development practice models, health policy, peer review, practice guideline and standards of care. The essential of population health activities and clinical prevention has helped in achieving the US national goal of achieving population status. The sophistication of healthcare and increased knowledge has increased the number of specialized nursing which has increased competence in all highly complex areas.
