Proposed Timeline for Practical Practicum

Week 1	Developing new practice approaches, which include grounded theory and scientific evidence in improving health outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery for diverse population of patients including those in rural areas and other vulnerable populations.
Week 2	Enacting management, communication, and leadership skills in complex healthcare systems while ensuring delivery of effective, ethical, economical, and safe responsible quality care that will improve the outcome of patients
Week 3	Constructing methods that assess outcome of care systems, quality improvement and care initiative’s using patient care technology and healthcare information systems while honoring legal and ethical protections that are related to health communication and personal health information.
Week 4	Employment of consultative and collaborative leadership skills expending written and verbal communication skills in resolving organizational issues and complex practice problem through implementation and development of practice models, healthy policy, practice guidelines, peer reviews and standards of care.

This practical practicum will be led by various objectives. The first objective is developing new practice approaches that have grounded theory and scientific evidence in improving health outcomes and transforming healthcare delivery for diverse population of patients including those in rural areas and other vulnerable populations. To achieve this objective, the nursing science integrates with knowledge from biophysical, analytical, ethics, organizational and psychosocial sciences that form the basis of highest nursing practice level. Science based theories and concepts will be used in determining the significance and nature of health and health care delivery phenomena. These theories will be used to describe advanced and action strategies in alleviating, ameliorating and enhancing health care delivery phenomena as well as evaluating outcomes. The last activity is developing and evaluating new practice approaches that are grounded on nursing theories and other disciplines theories. 

The second objective is enacting management, communication and leadership skills in complex healthcare systems while ensuring delivery of effective, ethical, economical, and safe responsible quality care that will improve the outcome of patients. Sophisticated expertise is required to help in facilitating organization-wide changes, identifying system issues, and assessing organization practice delivery. Candidates will develop and evaluate care delivery approaches which will meet future and current patient populations’ needs that are based on nursing scientific findings. Development of effective strategies that will manage ethical dilemmas that is essential in patient care, research and healthcare organization. 

Another activity will be to ensure accountability for patient safety and quality of health care for populations that are within. This will be achieved by the demonstration of sensitivity to diverse organizational populations and cultures including providers and patients. I will employ principles of economics, healthy policy, finance, and business in developing and implementing effective practice-level plans. I will use advanced communication skills in leading patient safety initiatives and quality improvement in health care systems. Another activity would be analysis practice initiatives cost-effectiveness accounting for improvement and risk of health care outcomes. 

Another objective is construction of methods that assess outcome of care systems, quality improvement and care initiative’s using patient care technology and healthcare information systems while honoring legal and ethical protections that are related to health communication and personal health information. One activity will be designing, selecting, using and evaluation of programs that monitor and evaluate outcome of care system, care and quality improvements. It will also provide leadership in resolution and evaluation of legal and ethical issues within healthcare system that relate to use of communication networks, information technology, information and patient care technology. Lastly is evaluation of consumer sources of health information for timeliness, accuracy and appropriateness.

The last objective is employment of consultative and collaborative leadership skills expending written and verbal communication skills in resolving organizational issues and complex practice problem through implementation and development of practice models, healthy policy, practice guidelines, peer reviews and standards of care. First activity is employment of effective collaborative and communication skills in development and implementation of practice models, healthy policy, practice guidelines, peer reviews and standards of care. Secondly, leading inter-professional teams in analyzing organizational issues and complex practice. Lastly is employment of leadership and consultative skills inter-professional teams and intra-professional teams in creating health care change and complex healthcare delivery system.
