Week 1 Discussion on International Marketing

Hello class, my country of choice is Denmark. I always have a desire to travel to this country due to its architectural features, natural landscape, culture and economy. Denmark is located in the North part of Europe, and boarders North Sea and Baltic Sea; on North Germany Peninsula the total area of Denmark is 43,094 sq. km and its climate is temperate, overcast and humid, mild, cool summers and windy winter. In July 2016, the estimated population was, 5,593,785 with majority of the population are between the ages 24-54 years 38.88%. The population pyramid illustrates that the number of children is low than that of the elderly (above 65 year). 

The terrain of the country is flat and low to gently rolling plains and majority of its land is agricultural 63.4%. The country has several natural resources; sand, gravel, salt, stone, chalk, limestone, arable land, petroleum, fish and natural gas. The economy of Denmark is featured by high tech agriculture, advanced industry with firms that lead the world in renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, and maritime shipping, and highly depends on foreign trade with a GDP of $258.7 billion (2015 est.). The country enjoys high standard of living and its economy by extensive government measures on equitable distribution of income and welfare measures.

Hello Jennifer, I like your discussion on Germany. After reading your discussion about the country, you have created a desire in me to travel to the country. Germany is the largest economy and second in population after Russia. Economically, Germany is the largest in Europe and fifth largest in the world. This is a good indication of economic opportunities in the country. It is a good country to establish global business in. It is also a beautiful country to travel. It has so many cities that are aesthetically beautiful like Berlin and Munich. What form of government governs Germany?

Hello friend, I like your discussion about Australia. You have illustrated its strictness to commerce and environmental restrictions. The type of government in Australia is parliamentary democracy under a constitutional monarchy; a Commonwealth realm. Up to date, Australia has been facing growth constraints that are caused by key export commodities global fall of price. The reason was due to a two decade of continuous unemployment, very low public debt, contained inflation and a strong and stable financial system. However, this country has an open market on imports of goods and services due to minimum restriction. This makes it a good country for a global business. Which agricultural products are grown in Australia?
