Hear their stories: Students discuss school funding cuts

As a parent, it is satisfying and encouraging when their child gets quality education. This is whereby the students get to access education in as many fields as possible so that they get to pick what works for them. It will bring out the strength in each person and at the end of each educational tenure, the students will be in a position to become the best professionals they can. The top three programs that should receive funding in schools are the art, sports and academic programs. This is because the three are what it takes to create an all rounded individual in the society (YouTube, 2013). When art is well funded, there will be an allowance for artists to grow their talent, singers to grow their music and those talented in other types of crafts will also have a chance. The sports people will get the training they need while in school. The academic programs are also important in the lives of students as they grow up. 

The three programs are the most important in the development of children as they grow and acquire life skills. It is important to get adequate funding for these programs because it will reduce the pressure of people seeking formal employment based on their academic qualifications. Being overly focused on funding academic progress will be thinning the opportunities for the future generations. It will increase the number of drop outs whose academic abilities are not strong. This will increase the rates of crime and poverty in the long run. It is a state of the society that is better avoided by providing adequate funding for schools in order to secure the future of the United States.
