Why we should not genetically modify our pets

In this book written by Hilary Bok, it describes pet as a non-human object that people introduce in their homes and makes them a member therein. It explains further that both the cat and the dog would have very bad lives in case they were to live in the wild bushes. The book also illustrates the connection that exists between species of pets.

I will use this article to illustrate how humans view pets. I will use it to describe the benefits that the exists between the relationships of pets and man. I will also use this source to explain how different pets interconnect with each other. This source would help me support my main claim which states that enhancement of certain characteristics of a species by direct manipulation of its genes to create the ideal pet is a misuse of scientific technology and raises potent medical and ethical concerns.

I will use this source to talk about some of the ethical issues that arise with the modification of pets. I will also use this source to talk about the hypoallergic cats and expand more on their modification. I will use this article to address the issue of gene silencing and how it is done in animals. I will use this source to explain that it is not ethical to modify pets which are farm animals. I will also explain and give an account of how genetically modified pets have been on the rise. I will also explain which traits the scientists are seeking to make by genetically modifying these pets. It as well offers children and adults how to care for the pets which makes them have the skills for caring for living creatures as a whole because they also have their rights. 

I will use this source to explain how pets should be handled by their owners. I will also use it to inform on ways pets can reciprocate with love and how they show it. I will also use it to inform on the ways of caring for pets without violating their rights.
