Assignment Question Case Study:Mr Cremona is a 50-year-old man who has been admitted to your ward in Mater Dei hospital accompanied by his only daughter, Alexia. He is separated from his wife and works as a delivery man. On admission to the accident and emergency department, Mr Cremona presented himself with mild pain in the flank region and haematuria. After being thoroughly investigated, it was concluded that Mr Cremona has renal cancer and will need to be operated on as soon as there is availability in an operating theatre. On assessment in the ward, the nurses note that Mr Cremona is agitated and leaves the ward often to smoke. He is also overweight and seems unkempt. You are required to:1. Provide a detailed care plan of this patient using a framework, such as the Roper‐Logan‐Tierney model of nursing. The care plan should be divided into 3 sections: Assessment of the Activity, Implementation of Care and Rationale.2. The care plan should include the pre-operative and post-operative care plan with particular attention to provide a person-centred approach to Mr Cremona’s care. Your assignment should be no more than 1500 words (+/- 10%) Instructions for submission:1. You must include a cover page, which indicates: ● The study unit code and title● The title of the assignment● Name of student and their respective identification number ● Word count2. The assignment should be typed using Times New Roman font size 12 with 1.5 spacing. 3. Include page numbers at the bottom of each page in the format Page x of x and a running heading with the study unit code, your name and surname. 4. Your writing must be supported by reference to the literature. Marks are deducted for insufficient use of reference material. Use scientific and academic ones as much as possible. 5. You are expected to use the APA referencing system and must provide a reference list at the end of the assignment. Ensure that a consistent system is maintained throughout. 6. The writing of the assignment is 1500 words long +/-10%. Contents page, tables, references, and appendices are not part of the word count. Ten marks will be deducted if you exceed the word limit. 7. Plagiarism is a serious offense. You may submit a draft assignment to TURNITIN. This platform is named ‘Draft Assignment’ on the VLE and should not be confused with the actual platform where you are to upload your final assignment. TURNITIN will generate an originality report for your draft upload, which you will be able to view and make amendments as necessary. 9. A soft copy of the assignment must be uploaded to TURNITIN as a single word or PDF document in the platform named ‘Final Submission’. You should name your file using the following naming convention before uploading it: NURxxxx-Student’sName_Surname e.g. NURxxxx-John_Borg. 10. The deadline for submission only by soft copies is 5th March 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted and will automatically result in the award of an F grade.
