and the other side ten weakness- helps in identification of known and unknown. Setting
realistic expectations follows the self-esteem inventory, and stopping to berating from
unaccomplished idealistic goals. There should be a need to avoid the cycle of negative
thinking as it reinforces negative self-esteem. Next strategy is grabbing hold of
accomplishments and mistakes by setting aside perfection through acknowledging
achievements for their actual value. Mistakes should pull a person down but should be
learning opportunity for self-growth.
There is a need to explore one-self which will not just help in knowing strengths and
weakness but also open up to new opportunities, new viewpoints, new friendship and new
thoughts. To raise self-esteem, it is a requirement to take risks and try new things that are not
ordinarily done. Next is the will to adjust our own self-image as self-esteem should not be
based with the older version but with the current skills and abilities. The last strategy is
seizing to compare ones abilities and accomplishments with others. Changing of self-esteem
takes patience, time, trial and error with efforts that are both realistic and fair.
