They also discipline and counsel employees and are involved in monitoring, planning and
appraising job results. They are responsible for selling and improving and maintaining clients

have to have good record keeping skills. He/she makes major decisions for the company and
should act as a pillar to support and stand by his team during times of need. He should have
supervision skills to ensure his team stays on track by making sure they live to their
expectations. They should have ability to generate leads for the organisation by mapping

potential customers’ thorough generation of new opportunities. They are responsible in
delegation of responsibilities according to their interests and specialisation and strive in

Sales managers receive all kinds of information- rumours and from reliable sources
and thus they should have analytical abilities and thus they should be good judges. They
should be good communicators both written and spoken. They should have the ability to
attain goals, and get people to do things. The managers should be dependable, creative, have
the ability and desire to make things done. They should practice what they preach; they
embody the company policies through selling them and not telling them, and should quick
thinkers able to pinpoint problems easily.
I possess an ability to work under pressure through maintaining zeal and positive
attitude even when the situations are tough. Possession of management knowledge is a
strength that helps in sound understanding of modern technologies in sales field and
possession of management skills. The leadership talent is inborn and I would ensure people
enjoy working for them and would strive in building skills for the team. Creativity skills are a
strength that will help in generating ideas and will help in solving problems through
generation of solutions. Cooperation skills will aid working with the team in friendly way,
inspiring them to collaborate through a cooperative manner.
Communication skills is an added strength in my life and it will help in helping team
members to have clear understanding of their position and what they are supposed to do. It
can also help in creating good relationship with the employees by utilising horizontal
communication in which members can communicate without the fear of the boss but rather
change the view into a leader. Possession of enthusiasm is an added advantage to the job, it
creates zest for the job, positive, eager and responsive attitude and it is achieved through
