Intimate Partner Abuse

Holistic nursing and caregiving is an approach that not only caters for cure and service, but also looks into the mental well-being of the patient. Most victims of IPA/IPV, suffer from mental issues as well.  According to this research study, the preliminary results show that healthcare givers who adopt coping strategies during their IPA/IPV, are able to help victims deal or cope with abusive as they cater for their physical well-being (Santos, Matos & Machado, 2017). In most cases, the healthcare workers intervene through therapy or recommending healthcare centers that deal with abuse cases. As a result, the coping strategies reduce stress among the victims and assist them in dealing with abusive partnership. Therefore, it is essential that health care givers learn and adopt coping strategies that will help and support the victims of IPA/IPV.
