Communism

                 Communism refers to a social-economic system where a society owns property collectively rather than by individuals. This theory was put forward by Karl and Friedrich, German philosophers and revolutionaries to replace Capitalism in the 19^th Century. There existed two socio-economic classes; middle class, comprising of property owners and held sole rights to technology and the working class who possessed neither tangible wealth nor capital.

            With Industrial revolution, the skills of the working class were replaced by machines leaving them irrelevant and their wages reduced considerably. The working class was greatly oppressed by the middle class, who would dictate if or when they needed them to supplement performance of the machines, According to Karl Marx and Friedrich Engens the middle class (Bourgeoisie) continued to thrive in wealth as the working class (Proletariat) languished. It was because of this conflict that communism was advocated for by the two revolutionaries.

        By pushing for communism, Karl and Engens aimed at distributing wealth equally and eliminating socio-economic classes. This would be achieved if the land, factories and technology in the hands of Bourgeoisie was handed to the working class. Consequently this would make proletariat, who possess the means of production, become the property of the society, solving the conflict aforementioned.

       Furthermore, communism sought to restore the working class’s dignity where they no longer needed to struggle not to be completely wiped out by industrial revolution. Their unique labor skills were highly regarded and dehumanization brought to a stop. In addition to this, the right to existence for everyone was upheld. 

 In conclusion, communism creates a classless society where property is owned collectively. As such, everyone contributes and receives in line with their ability and needs.
