Waste Recycling in California

The California state uses mandatory commercial recycling law as the measures that are available in the Assembly Bill 32 Scoping Plan. To be specific, the above rules are pursuant to the state global warming solutions act and they aim at increasing the conversion of waste. On the other hand, the recycling laws used in California help in reducing the emission of poisonous gases as well as promoting the reduction of solid waste that affects the environment in an adverse manner (Goldstein, 2014). According to Granger (2017), California State recycles various products including aluminum pans, foil and tin, shoe and cereal boxes; paper bags, flattened and clean cardboard; junk mail, catalogues and magazines; plastic bottles with narrow neck and bottle caps; telephone books and newspapers; tape and staples envelopes as well as colored and white paper. 

Indeed, there are several products that California government should start recycling in order to keep the environment healthy and clean. For instance, it is essential to recycle blocks utilized to package various electronics such as computers and TVs as well as the food packaging materials like bowls, egg cartons, and cups (Goldstein, 2014). Moreover, the form can also be recycled to form crown molding, picture frames, nursery packaging, and baseboards as well as school supplies like rulers and pens (Granger, 2017). In addition, cigarette butts can be used to make jewelry, guitar pick, and plastic pallets.

Conversely, I think that it is beneficial for the states and cities to mandate recycling. For instance, the recycling aspect is essential since it is amongst the way of reducing waste products that have adverse effects on the environment (Granger, 2017). Furthermore, recycling is useful in minimizing harmful greenhouse gasses and harmful chemical emanating from rubbish present in the landfill sites (Goldstein, 2014). Basically, recycled substances can minimize expenses and costs incurred while searching raw materials that can be retrieved from waste products.
