Internship

Pharmacy is an articulate part of the treatment of patients. I find it critical because after consultations and physical examinations are done, the final step is the diagnosis stage. Patients therefore after undergoing an efficient process of investigation of their health, therefore, require to be placed in the hands of the hands of the right pharmacist so that they are issued the medication as prescribed by their doctors. In the present times, pharmacists are required to be extra careful in the execution of their duties as alongside the physicians; pharmacists ensure that the patients take the right dosages of the medications that are prescribed to the patients. They may also in some instances be required by the physicians to trace the progress of the medication and the impact that the medication makes on a patient for future evaluations or prescriptions. In cases of chronic diseases, pharmacists are also part of the optimal management. My interest in being part of ensuring a healthy recovery of patients is, therefore, my greatest attraction to the field of pharmacy.

The summer enrichment program will be of such a tremendous and instrumental benefit to me. It is a program that will allow me to interact with professionals in the field of pharmacy who are already in practice which will consequently give me the ideal picture of the operations of a pharmacist. It will also be an internship program that will allow me to get in touch with a few patients under the supervision of experienced pharmacists whereby I will be in a position to issue them with prescribed medications and any other support that I may be required to provide. The enrichment program will, therefore, sharpen my understanding of the field of pharmacy paving the way for a brighter career for me.
