Seamless Education Progression for Nurses of the Future

Introduction

The changing dynamics in the society and in the world is influencing need for change for nursing profession in manner they handle their clients. Actually, through technology, people are more conversant about their rights and health (Altman et.al. 2016). Therefore, the nurses must match these changes and ensure they enroll in continuous education to boost their knowledge in addition to handling new technology. The seamless education for registered nurses is achievable through the support of the profession, society and individual nurses.  

Enhancing Education and Capacity of Future Nurses

The society has a significant role of supporting nurses to advance their knowledge through social and economic supports. Parents have a responsibility of ensuring that their daughters and sons in nursing profession are encouraged to pursue education to high levels. The move in a realization of changing patients’ needs in future, where they will require specialized medication. Further, the society should support initiatives to raise money for educating their nurses (Altman et.al. 2016). The economic support will make it possible for nurses to pursue education in their country and in other parts of the world. The incidence creates a workforce of nurses that will be able to serve the needs of the society with precision. 

The profession in the field especially the doctors and specialists need to support nurse education through acting as role models. Further, the professionals should offer mentorship to the nurses ensuring that they continually learn new ideas in the profession (Karami, et.al. 2017). Through on job training, the medical practitioners can enhance the capacity of nurses to handle different challenges from patients (Karami, et.al. 2017). Further, the professionals need to draft bills and present to the government with aim of seeking support for further training and education for nurses. The bills can help the registered nurse to access higher education through subsidized government programs. The impact is ability of significant number of nurses getting more training and education thus boosting their service to the patients. 

Individual nurses in the health sector should also show some willingness to enhance their academic progression. The nurses require approaching their bosses in their work palaces and asking for permission to attend classes that boost their knowledge on nursing (Price & Reichert, 2017). Further, the individuals require engaging the hospital management in planning for seminar and training in areas they feel are challenging. Additionally, nurses need to collaborate with financial institutions to support the cost of their academic progression (Price & Reichert, 2017). The objective is achievable through seeking loans, which they can repay in installments once they are through with the learning. Further, the nurses require enrolling in different short courses that enhance skills such as management and relationship with others. The impact is capacity to handle different assignments and work as a team. 

Conclusion

Society, health professional and individual nurses have a responsibility in enhancing academic progression of registered nurses. The society provides an environment that helps the nurses pursue their dream through economic and social support. The professionals and especially the doctors offer on job training and flexible time to study for the nurses. The nurses on the other hand show willingness to learn and use the medical practitioners as their role models. In addition, the individuals have responsibility to seek financial support to support their academic progression.
