Mass media has great effect on ones thinking behavior and perspective on issues. Media has influence on a message passed across through the mass media which leads to a change on the audiences beliefs. The influence mass media has on its target are measurable through the effects it causes which can either be positive or negative, abrupt or gradual. These effects can be emotional, behavioral or psychological.Mass media effects are the social cultural or cultural effect of passing a message through the media. Its how the media controls, mitigates or enhances its impacts on the society. Key media influences are either good or bad.People tend to follow selectively of what they prefer from the mass media. These could result to positive impact or negative depending on the information there in.

What people see tend to stick in their minds more and recur once again which leads to putting attention to the message. At times a fraction may choose to put to practice what they have watched to see if the outcome will rhyme. In addition, if the message has negative impact which may involve crime or war others may borrow a leaf from it. This leads to acts of crime borrowed from scenes of media messages. Moreover this could include obscene acts which influence young minds to be curious of what they watch. An example include WWW i.e. wrestling which carries a statement that do not try this at home but leave kids with no liberty to try it out. Having modern gadgets at peoples disposal influence greatly what people watch and put it to practice which includes a rise in aggression among young generations.
