The book is well written, with twists and new stories introduced within the main plot. It is an action-packed read and a thrilling book. The mystery unraveling in the story makes it more exciting for the reader, as one has the urge to read more.
I loved the narrator’s character from the beginning. We can tell that he is witty, and of course educated, as his journalism degree is mentioned. I could feel some sense of pride in the narrator’s voice when he said that he didn’t care for any part of the documenting he was made to record. Even with that attitude, he had no option but to follow orders as the captain was not a negotiable man.
I like how the book starts. Before the narration, the author tells us that he is going to record events that follow, he goes on to give the reader the option of choosing what part of his recording to believe. By doing this, the author made me feel like I was part of the story.
Fans of thriller, detective stories and mystery will have a time of their life with this book. Preston Roberts made the reading more fun as he kept the suspense going; this had me hooked to the plot. I’d rate the book with four out of five stars, as it gets interesting in every chapter. I wouldn’t mind a sequel to “Cyro-Cop”.
