Dog lovers will definitely enjoy reading this book. It is beautiful that Gina Keatley and Scott Keatley had a book just dedicated to the dogs. The book has beautiful pictures of stray dogs in Delhi, India and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the dog breeds. The book is insightful as the typical image of these mutts is erased from one’s mind once they read the book. 

One thing that I loved about this book was the striking color of the dogs pictured. There are different types and the authors highlighted their characteristics and what they do. People often tend to view these lovable mongrels as barbaric and cruel animals. Many a time one would try to stay away from these dogs, as the common notion is that they don’t deserve to be cared for. All the myths and misinformation about the mutts is crashed in this book.

The authors took time to learn about the dogs of Delhi and shared their findings with those who are perhaps not informed about stray dogs. The authors share their experience of interacting with the dog population in the Indian city, and everything about their experience is wonderful. It is amazing that the dogs can have a safe and friendly relationship with humans. The dogs need some love, and humans should extend their love to the animals.

This book opened my eyes to the city mutts and helped me understand their diets, roaming patterns, and general behavior. It is a knowledgeable book, and I commend the authors for sharing the knowledge they acquired in Delhi.
