If I have been promoted as the new Human Resource Manager for the company I’m working for and our company is widely spread across different countries, I have a huge responsibility of making sure that I work for the company, its growth and also the growth of the employees (Ganesan, 2018). It is my responsibility to make sure that my company doesn’t lose any talented professionals because of the salary and packages they are being offered in the company when compared to the packages in the market. I should absolutely make sure that the employees are offered competitive salaries or wages along with the possible incentives by not affecting the company in the negative trend (Brunot, 2019). Also, while allocating salary packages and incentives or benefits, it is very important to take the location and regional aspects into consideration. For suppose, the people living in the highly cost effective metros like New York should be offered higher packages when compared to the employees living in smaller cities because the places like New York are very costly when compared to the cities like Austin or San Antonio. It is very important to make sure the salaries and benefits are allocated based on several aspects like location, weather, etc. Also, before making any allocations, the first and foremost thing to be considered is the market in that area.
