Description of TCS Inc. Business

TCS Inc. is an Indian firm that ventured into the information technology (IT) industry to provide IT services, business solutions, and consultancy services. The company is a multinational organization that has its presence in 46countries. TCS is a subsidiary company of the Tata Group (Tata Consultancy Services, 2018). Canada is one of the TCS Inc.’s major markets that influence its growth through technological innovations. TCS Inc.’s move to construct a new retail store in Canada is an effort to reinforce its presence in the market and to have an impact of how the market will grow. That is, the new store will enable the company to improve its innovation, strengthen relationships with Canadian clients, create employment, and participate in community development initiatives (Tata Consultancy Services, 2016). In the retail industry, TCS is after enabling retailers to shift from the traditional ways of retailing to more effective and efficient techniques of engaging with customers holistically and consistently. Such techniques include the use of mobile applications, the social media, and use of information technology to make business more flexible to business changes (Tata Consultancy Services, 2010).

Estimated total costs

Amount budgeted for designing the building is $979,899.84, the budget for licenses and permits is $6,270, site preparation and completion is allocated $2,761,000. The amount allocated for the construction of the new store and its exterior is $3,825,000. Other budget allocations are as follows: garage construction and garden $480,000, fixtures $1,250,000, parking and landscaping $150,000, inventory $3,000,000, and staff $751,478. Thus, the total budget for the project to kick off is $13,228,647.84 (Sudhakar, 2010).
