Racial Violence in United States of America

Racial violence in the United States has been for a long time on the rise. There has never been a year where African-American has not been assaulted be it by the police, leaders and many more. The issue is a racial concern not only to the American in the United States but only to the world at large. Racism is on the rise and currently raising concern among human rights representatives, governments, and citizens of various countries.

There have been lot of racial abuse in the United States and a recent story that I vividly remember was about an African American. The man who was middle aged had to endure great pain for a crime that never was. The African-American was shot by a patrol agent in January 2013. The patrol sergeant stopped the African-American man after he saw the man walking to a truck and had a one to one communication with the person that was inside the truck. After a brief communication with the person the man walked away from the truck probably to attend to his personal duties. The patrol sergeant was however too fast and managed to catch up with the man.

I do believe that the situation therein was not that friendly probably one full of command and authority. On stopping the man the patrol police ordered the man to comply for reasons that I personally do fail to understand. Often a policeman does not find it difficult to differentiate a an innocent person and a criminal but for this case the patrol police jumped into the conclusion that the man was a criminal simply because of his skin color. The fact that majority of the African – Americans are perceived as poor automatically qualifies them to be suspects every time they pump into a police office. The African American was later reported to have died through a number of gunshots.

  Earlier information received was that the police officer was defending himself from the man who was reported to be armed. But surprisingly someone recorded the whole event without the police officer consent and later gives out the recording to a court of law.

The whole video was discouraging to any human especially with the fact that the police officer had earlier said that he only shoot the man because he was armed. However, the video clip shows the police officer shooting the man who was in his thirties almost five times, and then he proceeded and placed his gun right at the scene where the man was lying dead.

In the summer of 2012, a 32-year old African American was spotted by a white police officer spotted in his car. Reports indicate that the man was resting after playing basketball. The man is reported to have been cooling right at his car after playing basketball only for the white police officer to approach him and ordered him out of his car. The man knew his right and he objected stating his constitutional rights, but the police officer could not give up that easily even despite seeing that the man was by no chance armed. He was arrested at gunpoint and was later charged with eight counts of with violations of Ferguson’s municipal code and, therefore, lost his job for that reason.

The same stories again are all over the American schools. Sometimes back when a 14 year all African American girls were arrested. The story was that the girl had failed to comply after having had an argument with a white girl. And since the girl could not leave the classroom at that particular time the story was again twisted in a way that not even the parents of the girl could understand. It was later clear that the 14-year-old girl had been suspended out of school for a period close to half a year.

The president of the United States has fallen victim sometimes in search racism issues. Way back in 2011 an email depicted the president as a chimpanzee. Recently in 2015 a certain famous American mayor termed both Obama and his wife as chimpanzees.

It true that the story if racism goes on and keeps resurfacing over and over again with little action being taken the racists again.  The stories are quite heartbreaking and so unfair to the victims. In the many instances where the events do occur we realize that false accusation is at the center stage. Everyone is creating stories to ensure that the black community is o the wrong. The police department should be a protection to the African American fraternity, but we realize that the same is no longer the case. Favoritism per color has taken root a thing that should be criticized by all

Racism is a disease that slowly kills and affects development and according to my personal point of view we should define suitable ways of ending the mysterious infection that is placing the lives of many African Americans at stake. Our nation should be united and irrespective of the tribe and skin color unity should be at the center stage. Our president is an African Americana and the move made by the many Americans to elect the president should be one way of acknowledging that the world that we currently live no longer belongs to a particular skin color or tribe. The many instances of African American abuse should come to an end. Americans should embrace unity and togetherness and the acceptance that we all God’s creation should be at the center stage today, tomorrow and until forever.
