The article is dated seven years down the line. It clearly explains the need for diabetes test and diagnosis. It explains that everyone needs to be diagnosed but by professional medical practitioners. Testing helps in the early identification of the symptoms hence adopting the relevant preventive measures. This reference will be relevant in the final paper since it will provide a clear understanding of diabetes, its cause, types and the preventive measures. In understanding the different stages, the reference will be ideal hence will be most preferred. It will be relevant in the final paper based on the time comes in history where there is little understanding of the stages of diabetes. This has resulted in many patients dying due to lack of knowledge of any signs of diabetes.

The study aimed at presenting estimates the estimated economic costs post by the diagnosis of diabetes. Based on the research, there has been increased health expenditure on diabetes diagnosis characterized by low productivity. It involved the use of the prevalence approach that focused on the United States’ population in relation to the medical and healthcare costs based on the Cost of Diabetes Model in 2012 and 2013.  It has been estimated that at least $245 billion diabetes costs have reduced the general productivity of healthcare organizations in the United States. Up to about $13, 700 are being used yearly the diabetes patients. This, therefore, reduces the ability to work hence reducing production. The information collected will be helpful in estimating the amount of money used in the diagnosis of diabetes at a certain period and how the economic pool is depleted based on these expenditures.

It relates to the American Diabetes Association that aims at ensuring quality and standard medical care to diabetes patients. The article provides recommendations based on diagnosis or screening that aim at enhancing proper care based on the prevailing patient care factors like costs. It is therefore relevant in the final paper since it will give directions on the medical practices that will enhance the collection of information that relates to quality service provision that is cost-effective. The article was presented at a vital time when the diabetic pandemic is at its peak in lowly growing economic setting.
