Introduction
Accreditation is a term used for the assurance of Professional Standards. It is the particular way by which the different educational programs are evaluated or calculated by an independent body that considers whether the professional standards are being met or not. Accreditation is provided at two different levels. The first being program and the second one being Institution.
The CCNE and ACEN stands respectively for Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and Accreditation Commission for education in Nursing. Both of these are the most recognized and most famous accrediting agencies in the United States (Lowery & Spector, 2014). These agencies are very much influential in nature as they always decide on the eligibility for the student aid or the feasibility of the employees in the organization. Both the bodies provide a certain number of programs for the students to make sure that they do not face any financial problems and can also get some quality jobs. CCNE does not offer any degrees or diploma to the students whereas ACEN does the following. CCNE accreditation is a voluntary and self regulatory process that supports different programs on the education related to nursing (Spector et al. 2018).
Need for the Regulation
There are many reasons for the importance of the CCNE and ACEN regulations. These are;
- Ability to transfer the credit to the nursing schools
- The students will get easy access to financial grant and aids
- The capability to undertake licensing examinations
- Presence of jobs and a proper future
Methods to Communicate and implement the Regulation
It is important for the mentioned medical bodies to communicate the different regulations and rules of the organization to the students (Harmon et al. 2016). They can communicate the rules through different ways and processes. Firstly it is important for them to provide all the rules and accreditation principles on a web page for the students to view the laws. Secondly they can provide a training session for the students to make them aware of the different types of rules that they have to follow while pursuing the courses under CCNE and ACEN (Selway, 2015). The management must make sure to arrange a proper meeting to discuss the rules and laws to be implemented and also address the concerns of the different students and the stakeholders.
Basis for determining Regulatory Compliance
The organization depends on a number of factors for determining the basis for regulatory compliance. Compliance management is critical to the success of the different regulatory compliances (Action, 2014). A proper and efficient regulatory management program helps the health care organizations to easily identify the different weaknesses in the different internal controls and the systems. It also helps to provide the students the best possible way to pursue different courses in nursing. The focus of strategic management is to make sure that the regulatory compliance are maintain properly to attain success. Compliance regulation helps to implement the rules and ensure its use (Ruchala, 2015).
Ways to Reduce Health Care Costs
There has been a constant demand for better health care by the people of USA for a long time (Selway, 2015). The rising cost of health care has been a grave problem in the country for decades. The government along with the collaboration of the private sector has taken some steps to control the rising costs.
- Value based payment reforms in the private sector such as Blue Cross shield of Massachusetts
- Alternative Quality Contract along with public sector reforms like Accountable Care Organizations
- Bundled Payment Initiatives
- Comprehensive Demand Side Strategy
- Innovative measures to eliminate clinical wastes
