Who we are: – BC event management is event Planning Association. BC event management enjoys great reputation in organizing an event in British Columbia popularly known today by Canada. BC event management organize various types of event such as seminar and conferences, Trade shows, Sports event, Healthcare event, Product Launch events, Board meeting and Shareholder meeting, Wedding events, Team building events etc. (Event Management, 2019). Team includes expert from different field with a size of roughly 1500 members over the world.

Event History: – BC event management has been organizing event for more than 30 years for common people, governments, stakeholders, Students etc.  BC event management mainly organizes event on social issues such as health, corruption, environment protection etc. Castlegar was founded by Mr. Crown in British Columbia. He was doing MBA from Oxford University, during his college days he felt lack of awareness among common people about social evils then he decided to make a career in event planning he left his college at the end of 1st year. He started association called BC event management with 3 of his friends. Today BC event management has branches in more than 20 countries of the world. BC event management has received many awards from Canadian government for its excellence in organizing events.

Mission of the event:-  

Mission of the event to educate common people about adverse consequences of Today’s lifestyle, benefits of power lifting exercises, to make people realize how much water they are in, Gym training institutes. It is expected that this event will help and motivate people to do exercises, to pay attention to the health, fight with diseases, etc. (Department of Education, 2019).

Vision of the event

Vision of the event is to motivate common people not just in Canada but across the world to healthcare activities and powerlifting exercise for better today and tomorrow.

Key Objectives and Deliverable of the event:-

  • To educate about Precautions to be adopted before doing power lifting exercises
  • Demonstration of how power lifting exercise should be done.
  • Provide training with respect to some of the power lifting exercises.
  • Knowledge about life threating diseases arising from non-workout
  • To bring Motivation in the common people to sphere time for power lifting exercise, other health care exercise to stay healthy
  • To educate people about benefits of power lifting and other healthcare exercise
  • To educate common people about healthy foods(Healthecareers, 2019).
 

The Event

BC event management is going to organize a power lifting competition on 15th November    2019 in Castlegar in the Gym campus of Selkirk College situated at Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada. Beneficiary of this events are students, teachers, common people etc.

Proceeds of this event will be donated to Non-governmental organization i.e. Food for Hungry. The main aim of NGO is to eradicate poverty and to create and maintain sustainability for needy people in the form of good education, agriculture and health care facilities (Internation Development Research Framework, 2019).

In this event Power lifting competition such as bench press, pushups, dead lifts, Military Press, Bent-Over Row, Curls, Farmer’s walk Squats, Lunges, etc. (Mark Bell). will be organized for the benefit of students, Teachers, Common People. Students and Teachers would be allowed to participate in the event to show their strength and ability. All the participants who would be participating must have an experience of workout in Gyms. As participants would be Gym lovers common people will have an opportunity ask questions related to Gym exercises.

Some of the benefits of this event to students, Teachers, common people are:-

  • Spreading awareness about benefits of power lifting exercises
  • Spreading awareness about Diseases which can arise from Today’s lifestyle
  • Giving Training about some of the Power lifting exercises
  • Resolving misconceptions, queries of common people associated with power lifting exercises(Marrone, 2019).

Development Plan

Target Market

According to the analysis of the market, the main target audience for the event will be young generation as well as the adult who are engaged in the job and do not have a time for doing any kind of exercise. Therefore, he main target audience will be between the range of 15 to 40 years old. The young generation will be cover through targeting colleges as well as universities for the event. The outsiders will be also welcomed in the event as they are warm welcomed. The main reason behind targeting such audience due to the main reason it is one of the belief that most of the young generation are highly affected from the unhealthy lifestyle. Therefore, the students are the main target audience for the event  (Bcc healthcare, 2019).

Stakeholder Involvement and Benefits

Regulatory Bodies: Government, local authority as well as police with their other subdivision are the main participates for the event. The event is introducing for the betterment of the society, so the government will participate in the form of providing its services as well as finds in the event (Reporting Manager Castlegar Russia).

Employee and Workforce: contracted crew, some volunteer and their staff will be require in the event as they will be the key stakeholders for the event that can able to provide its services to the candidates in an efficient as well as in an effective manner.

Bank and other financial institution: Some amount will be raised from the Bank of Montreal for investing in the event. As the event will be organize at large scale. Therefore, it is required for us to raise some funds from the bank  (Department of health, 2019).

Marketing / Communication

Positioning

Marketing of the event will be done under the supervision of Mr. Henry Smith Vice President Castlegar. To avoid attendants standing in a queue ticket booking process has been made online. Moreover location of event has been selected keeping in mind convenience of common people. Tagline of the event will be wake up for better tomorrow. Nominal Fee of $250 including the cost of accommodation has been decided to give the benefit of event to as much people as possible and to rely on other sources of financing such sponsorships through corporates, Donations, Government grants, etc.  Participation certificate, food arrangement has been made so as to make the event attractive. Promotion of the event would be done through international broadcasting television channels, Web sites, Social Media, Newspaper, and Pamphlets (eventica, 2017).

Product

The service with the gym equipment will be the main product that will be offered in the event. The gym equipment’s include cable row, leg press machine, and shoulder press machine yoga mate and so on to the consumers that will help in promoting the gym equipment’s in an efficient manner.

Price

The price that will be offer to the clients will be nominal as the group will adopt competitive pricing method to compete its competitors as well as to enter in the market in more efficient as well as in an effective manner.

The service of demo will be also providing to the consumers if they wanted to try at their home. Online service as well as well as free shipping services will be provided to the consumers to enhance their interest to the certain extent  (Healthcaresuccess, 2019).

Promotional Channels

Marketing of the event will be done in three Phases. In first Phase volunteer will distribute pamphlets to college goer students and add will be posted in local newspaper of Castlegar to attract local audience. In second Phase advertising on television channels and government web site will be done.  Tele Advertising will be done by film artist Ryan Reynolds. In third Phase Marketing will be done on social media as it attracts large audience and people spent huge amount of time on it (Whova, 2019).

Event Requirements:-

Event would be held in Gym area of college with seating capacity of 300 People. All the attendants would be required to wear a shirt as a part of theme of the event which will be labeled with stay healthy stay happy.

Current Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would be invited as chief guest of the event. Event would continue for two day and the timing of the event will be 10A.M to 5 P.M. attendants will be provided with the facility of accommodation, food etc. The accommodation facility will be provided at Chameleon Hotel situated at 330 Columbia Avenue, V1N 1G5 Castlegar, Canada. Booking of tickets facility for the event would remain available between 10th November to 14h November. To avoid any unfortunate happening proper insurance cover would be taken from Pal insurance Broker. Proper Medical facility, Fire brigade Facility would remain available at the event location so as to properly deal with any emergency. Proper Transportation facility would be provided to attendants. To make more convenient for the attendant’s proper arrangement would be done with Canada transport department to avoid traffic on the day of the event (The balance, 2018).

Music for everyone with the end of the day

A volunteer would remain available on stage so as to invite the speakers and guide to the next process. After completion of event participants would be require to fill the feedback form so that success of the event can be evaluated. There are certain risks associated with the events such as success of the event, arrangement of finance, loss of reputation, Safety of the people, Legal compliance etc. These risks have been adequately taken care of through strong planning, deployment of adequate work force etc.

 

Conflict Management:-

This aspects deal with steps that would be taken if any of the team member does not adhere to group policies. If any of the team members not adheres to group policies, not attend the group meetings and still wish to be part of group it will be considered as serious misconduct and will not be entertained.

Following actions will be taken if any person has any conflicts:-

  • The person will be given opportunity to present his Issue or problem. Proper platform will be given to the candidate to share their views and issue on which the discussion will be made
  • Group members will be asked to suggest solutions: proper meeting will be done in between the event weeks to analyze the case and resolve the issues as soon as possible
  • Decision would be taken based on the majority: the solution will be taken according to the discussion made in the group and majorly of them agree or not will be keep in mind while taking the decision
  • Every group member’s opinion will be given due respect.

Actions against Group Member

Any of the member of a team who violate the terms and conditions such as not attending the group meeting, does not completing his/ her work on time etc. penalty of 200 Canadian Dollar will be levied and on a subsequent misconduct Penalty of 500 Canadian Dollar will be imposed and such member would not be allowed to participate in 5 Upcoming events and on third consecutive misconduct would not be allowed to participate in future events i.e. will be fired from the team.

Conclusion

BC event management is leading event organizer in the event management industry. It is organizing an event of power lifting competition in the gym area of the Selkirk College with an objective of helping students and teachers along with common people in variety of ways such as awareness about life threatening diseases arising among children, youngster due to excess eating without workout, benefits of power lifting exercises, motivating peoples for sphering time towards health to stay healthy and get away from diseases. The proceeds of event after meeting expenditure would be donated to NGO i.e. Food for Hungry. It is hoped maximum people will take advantage of this event.
