Socioeconomic “codes”- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with disabilities act are sometimes regarded as a civil rights law and not a building code which was endorsed by the American Congress in 1990. v. This act or law tends to eradicate the segregation that is put upon the persons having special needs in order to ensure that even them they enjoy the full rights that other persons are entitled to despite their conditions (Anderson, 2010).
Significance,
Statistics shows that approximately 54 million Americans citizens or those dwelling in America are disable and this number increasing rapidly. Hence, the significance of the Americans with disability act is that it eliminates the segregation of the disabled persons from any right that other persons may be enjoying, both in the public, the private sector, telecommunications, employment and the transportation sector (Rimier et al, 2004).
Under what circumstance(s) it is or should be used,
There are various circumstances that the Americans with disabilities act apply. Some of the instances include
The action tends to ensure that during hiring, training or promotions, the people having a disability should not be questions about their status as well as the employers should be able to provide them with adequate and effective accommodation facilities void of hardships.

The state and the local activities requires that the persons with disability are entitled to equal opportunities regardless of their condition in terms of the social services, healthcare and education as well as funding’s
The act requires that the public transportation sector should not discriminate against the persons having disability and in any case, the government should be able to purchase vehicles which are easily accessible by the person with disability (Bound & Burkhause, 2009)
The Americans with disabilities act require that the accommodation firms comply with the non-discriminative policies concerning the accommodation of the persons with disabilities. They should be given notices in good time just as others and in a more comfortable and communicable way, without any discrimination
