I read a journal entitled Our View of Courageous Care by Cindy Munro and Richard Savel that was published in the year 2015. The journal is all about building the knowledge base for nursing care and the manifestation or courageous care. Whereas the authors highlighted that quality improvement projects will definitely enhance care by applying knowledge to a situation. This research aims to find new knowledge that can be applied. They also say that it is necessary to actually test theoretically attractive new interventions to refute or substantiate the effectiveness of essential health care traditions. Wherein the authors cite an example of what proof do they have in regards to the ideal turning recurrence for critically ill patients?

It is said that Providing a quiet time for critically sick patients during day has been broadly adapted by the specialists or practitioners as a method for providing rest, however according to them there is a little research assessing the practice that dimming lights and urging daytime sleep to exacerbate circadian rhythm problem which is a persistent or intermittent disruption of sleep patterns. As I mentioned earlier, wherein the author cites an example of a critically ill patient. They need to explore more knowledge and do a little research for them to fully understand the risks and benefits of it and to improve their intervention. Moreover, the authors highlighted that Quality Improvement can really support courageous care by giving structure to endeavors and aimed for enhancing care at nearby destinations. As for me, it falls under the Care Enhancement Qualities which is the Monitoring and Ensuring the Quality of Health Care Practice, It is simply because it includes active participation of the nurses to monitor and improve the quality care with courageous care. It shows that nurses should accept the opportunities to choose courageous acts to introduce themselves all the time in light of the fact that a risk is everywhere. You can endeavor to limit the dangers by avoiding any risk yet there are dangers to yourself, your associates, your calling, and those you serve when you don’t take in appearing, talking up, or practicing according to the highest standards of evidence-based practice. Moreover, authors express that the work environment can debilitate or facilitate courageous care. Because healthy work environments are a significant part of patient safety, courageous care should straightforwardly address any components that undermine healthy work environments. Healthy work environment nurture courage in nurses and support efforts to enhance patient results. Besides, Nurses in a healthy work environment go beyond distinguishing issues that they engage associates, patients, and families in finding and implementing solutions to issues. As for me, it falls under the Care Enhancement Qualities in which is the Nurse Practitioner-Patient Relationship. It is because the nurse practitioner is able to communicate effectively with patients to facilitate an environment of trust by using courage in it. And the nurse is also able to act collaboratively with patients with skills.

There’s a courage that runs with the professionalism of nursing. There are events all through each nurse’s profession where they have to achieve something extremely difficult that they know will cause trouble.
