Finding child Care Revision

As a single mother, of a beautiful six-year-old little girl. Finding the right quality child care center is essential to me for a few reasons. I need to be comfortable and feel supported while I am working, I also need to know my child is receiving the tools necessary to help her along in life. Early childcare plays a vital role in my child’s development. The ease of knowing my wants and beliefs are respected each day help me sleep better at night. I would often not be able to focus at work and adequately do my job. I use to stress and wonder about her all day. Was she eating? Did she take a nap? Was she changed? Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, and the most rewarding, my daughter is the reason my heart beats, yet she drives me crazy at the same time. I would pay attention to her body language and reactions when I would pick her up. I would ask her a million questions and not care about the sound of frustration in her voice. I still would continue. 

I need to know my child is safe and feels secure and if she has a bad day can communicate it, or if she feels scared or someone has hurt her in any way, she is comfortable enough to tell me.

Her growth and development in school advanced so rapidly. Therefore she was able to communicate so well with me about her day and express her wants and needs to me.  A lot of people may not know this but, to me, childcare and introducing her to this environment so early helped her social and emotional skills. She begins to understand why manners are important, and why she should always wash her hands and brush her teeth. As well as, be helpful to her friend’s and learn how to play and interact with them. She learned structure and fun and how to take care of herself, and a host of other things such as reading, writing, and math. 

I drop her off and see how she interacts with her friends, and I cannot believe how her vocabulary has expanded, and the things she and her friends laugh about and talk about are amazing. How she can quickly put things together and express her interests, all of this, she has learned from being exposed to good quality childcare. Expensive yes, it is very even in public school it is costly but well worth it. Her rapid development and her self confidence and independence alone make me proud. As my grandmother would always say “good things not cheap, and cheap things no good.” Some things money can’t buy, I think that good quality childcare help with socialization as well, this has allowed her to be outgoing and funny and believe it or not speak her mind. Good quality childcare matters more than most people realize because at the end of the day it’s more than just a backup plan or a babysitter to take care of my child while I work. Its Comfort and security for my daughter it’s the feeling of knowing that the most important person in my world is being taken care of in the way I would take care of her. The help I receive puts me at ease and family will sometimes help yes, but quality childcare is reliable not only because they are paid to do so but because for some, they love their work and working with children and being that person for my daughter when I am away for 9 hours a day. Not only does she receive a quality education so young my wants and beliefs instilled at home are also taught in her at school, but I also prefer she eats snacks once maybe twice a day and water frequently. I indicate all this each month, and yes, my wishes are carried out. This itself is a great feeling because as any parent knows. If they have it in school when they get home, they will want it or who gave it to them or when they had it. 

All in all, at times I feel this is a second home for her, with structure and security and the quality and skill to provide her with the early push in life she needs and make me happy and able to focus at work.
