that have been put in place to curb the situation.
b) Over the recent years, the menace has become persistent because of several factors.
Causes of homelessness
a) Poverty is known to be the primary cause of homelessness as people have no means to
meet their daily needs such as shelter and food, and as a result, end up on the streets.
b) Lack of employment has contributed to the rise of homeless people in the country as the
people do not have access to a source of income that can enable them to fend for
themselves and their families.
c) The high cost of living is also a factor that has led to the rise in the number of homeless
people. People find it hard to fulfill all their needs because the finances they have limits
their expenditure. Because of this, they may end up sacrificing shelter so that they can
meet their other needs such as food.

Challenges faced by homeless people
a) Homeless people hardly have access to items that they can use to cover themselves at
night or during cold seasons. Because of this, they end up acquiring diseases such as
colds and flu.

   Although the method may be seen as expensive, it is an effective method because it
   provides the affected people with a solution to the problem.

   A qualitative study in four states will be carried out. A sample size will be used to gain
   respondents for the study. Research methods such as interviews, questionnaires, and focus group
   discussions will be used to obtain data from the respondents.
   Research findings and discussion
   The findings will be analyzed and discussed extensively. The findings will be analyzed
   depending on how relevant the responses are to the topic of study.
   Conclusion
   The main purpose of this study is to understand the measures that can be taken to control
   and get rid of the homelessness menace. To learn the measures, it is also important to determine
   the causes and effects of homelessness as discussed in the preceding chapters. Data for the study
   will be gathered from books, journals, and articles that have discussed the topic. Interviews, as
   well as focus group discussions, will also be used in a bid to understand the problem and the
   solutions that can be implemented.
