How to Maintain Perfect Looking Skin throughout the Festivities

The festive season is synonymous with parties and get-togethers. While most people aim for maximum fun, all want to look good while dancing the night away. Beauty regimens take time. With back-to-back nights of partying, there might not be time for much. The trick is to plan for the simplest yet most impactful skin care process. 

Too much product clogs pores. This fact paired with sweat and dirt from the whole night will lead to catastrophic breakouts on the skin. One should cleanse, tone and moisturize every day. At the end of the night, a thorough wash to get all the makeup off should do just fine. Simple steam facials can be done about three times a week. Exfoliation is also very important once a week to shed those dead skin cells. 

The welfare of the skin is determined by both internal and external efforts. Keeping to the skin care regimen while eating greasy foods everyday will not do much good. A proper diet, though difficult to adhere to during the festive season, should be attempted. More importantly, stay hydrated. It is the season to be jolly. Unfortunately some of that joy is found (through combined efforts) at the bottom of a whisky bottle. Alcohol causes dehydration. Dehydration is absolutely detrimental to the skin. Take copious amounts of water to counter the effects of alcohol and general holiday overindulgence. Water will do nothing for your smoking. Quit the cloud. Smoking is not only bad for the health, it hurts the skin. So for beauty’s sake, stop it!

While frolicking on sandy exotic beaches, remember to protect yourself from the elements. Sunscreen is your friend. Use it generously. The lips and hands should also be part of the care plan. Arm yourself with moisturizing lip balm and hand cream.
