Background 

‘Business Air’ is the first of its kind. An Irish airline offering a five star travel experience for commercial flights. Traditionally commercial flights are transactional in duration and service, this is where ‘Business Air’ will differ. ‘Business Air’ has service standards to rival Emirates whilst catering for business and corporate customers. Its price point aligns with British Airways, City Jet and Aer Lingus. The USP for this airline is; Professional Five Star Service. 

It is thought that this airline will compete in the aviation market place with immediate effect, already gaining a lot of media attention. To date it has successfully held recruitment events across Europe and has received endorsement from elite business clients. 

You – Head of L&D @ Business Air 

Congratulations, you have been appointed as the L&D Manger for the airline. You have been asked to create an induction programme for 250 cabin crew. You are required to submit your proposal to the board of directors. Your plan should address the following; 

• Learning Strategy 
• Learning Needs Analysis  
• Learning Objectives 
• Learning Design 
• Learning Delivery
• Learning Evaluation 
• (At this point no budget has been assigned, so the sky is the limit!!)

Proposal Detail 

• Your proposal should be presented in a Word Document
• Maximum word count – 2,500 words (minimum 2,000)  
• Submission Date; Friday 21^st April @ 12 midday 

Scoring 

• 20% of Overall Grade 

Breakdown 

• 10% ——-  Content addressing all points  
• 5%   ——- Credible Research Applied 
• 5%  ——– Application of relevant models/approaches throughout proposal 

Note; 

Use your imagination to build the plan regarding the aviation industry, however you must ensure any assumptions are supported with L&D theory.
