Teaching Project Assignment
You will develop a teaching project for either patients, peers, or a community group. The
Teaching Project is an individual project developed by the student. Each student
identifies either patients, peers, or a community. The topic and audience must be
approved by the course faculty by week 2. The student needs to incorporate t content
that is reflective of learning principles and cultural influences that impact learning
supported by current professional sources. The teaching project is worth 30% of the
course grade.
The lesson plan must be completed with the following information:
a. Goal of the teaching session
b. Measurable behavioral objectives containing all components (ABCD
Method)
c. Content outline
d. Reasonable time frames (Identify contextual factors related to time
frames: privacy, space, interruptions, time, culture, limits, etc.)
e. Resources used
f. Methods of teaching
g. Tools for teaching
h. Evaluation of learning methods
2. Please make sure there is continuity of all components
3. Reference must be included in lesson plan and a spate reference list must be
submitted with the project
