Leading change in the field of nursing is an important edition. It ensures that the future of health care is being constantly improved. The role of nursing needs to change with the changes that are constantly being made in health care. For instance, the training and education procedures have to change to accommodate the use of technology in health care. Shortage of workforce for nurses has always been a problem in health care. The use of technology in health care can be designed in a way that it eases the workload on the nurses. The report from the Robert Wood Johnson Committee Initiative highlights the challenge in nursing education whereby the schools have less capacity. This means that fewer nurses get to graduate and the pressure on existing nurses does not cease. Therefore, the leading change and advancing health issues that were addressed in the report are valid and can be acted upon to improve the status of health care.

The future of nursing can be directed towards making it a profession that appeals to more people. In addition to being appealing, the schools have to be big enough to accommodate the nurses who want to study for the job. The future of nursing will also be realised when the curriculum is adjusted to fit the demands of health care today (Nurse, 2018). Nursing care can also be improved by encouraging nurses to specialize in various care sectors. It means that a nurse whose preference is working with patients requiring acute health care will be encouraged to advance their studies in that area. The nursing schools will also expand to ensure that people who desire to get into the nursing schools will have a chance. The state-based coalitions are important because they cater to the population within their boundaries. The nurses within the same state are likely to improve health care within their states by working together. For instance, nurses within the state of New York can come together to understand what they need to work with. 

Coalition action in New York for nurses is geared towards making health care better in the State of New York. The major initiatives that the state action coalition in New York include suggestions that “Nurses should practice to the full extent of their education and training, and, that nurses should be full partners, with physicians and other health professionals, in redesigning health care in New York” (Center for Nursing, 2018). In New York, nursing as a career should give the nurses an opportunity to grow their professionalism. This can be supported by increased capacities of the schools that teach and train nurses. It is important for the state to ensure that the schools are well equipped to train nurses who will be professionals in their field. Nurses should also be encouraged to work with other medical health care workers to improve the medical sector in the State. It is important for nurses to get adequate support from other workers to ensure that they can transform the health care system adequately. 

The barriers to advancement that currently exist in New York are that nurses may not have the freedom to practice their careers to the best of their ability. Additionally, the nurses are mostly left to work on their own in the medical field. These are factors that affect their level of performance in their work. When looking at how the nursing profession is treated in New York, it is necessary to enact changes. It is important that the workers in the medical field work together to improve health care. In terms of patient care, nurses should have a voice. They should be given the leading roles to ensure that the medical health care system is improved significantly. Being a nurse in the State of New York will improve significantly when nursing advocates overcome the barrier of nurses being secluded from the rest of the medical health care workers.

The state action coalition in New York can easily overcome the barriers to advancement by having its nursing schools changed in a way that the curriculum accommodates the demands of health care today. The nurses will also perform better when they work well together with the rest of the people in the health care sector. Nursing in New York should be made better by increasing the number of nurses in hospitals and reducing the workload of the existing nurses. Nurses in the State of New York through the nursing advocates can get a chance to grow their professionalism when they have adequate time off of work and can go to school (Altman & Shem, 2016). New York is a well-positioned state that should be in a position to develop better nursing areas for nurses. When nurses get a chance to improve their educational status, they also get a better chance to practice their academic training in their work. It is also important for nurses to enhance their careers by being involved in research activities that make it a better career.

 To conclude, the state action coalition in New York will have a better health care system by improving the way nursing is regarded right from the schools and the training process. It is important for medical health care workers to work in collaboration because it is for the benefit of the patients. The change in medical health care should keep moving towards the improvement of the care for the patients. The fact that nursing needs to be redesigned means that it has suffered several shortcomings. Nursing is an important career which can take the lead to develop better structures and systems of caring for the health of people. Therefore, nursing can be considered a noble career if well handled by the health care policymakers. Nursing care will be better managed with nurses working together with other health care workers in policymaking. It also goes to show that people would be assured of better nursing care by professionals. Constant research activities will also add to the value of nursing in the State of New York.
