This is the book for you. This book will inspire you. ‘My Journey from Nowhere to Everywhere’ is just Gerard being what he has always been; an educator. His writing appeals to an intrinsic part of the human being. It appeals to that part that is desperate to triumph. A part that is inkling to unshackle itself from personal demons. 

After Brooker leaves the monk life, someone he greatly admires summons him. He is scared that this person will disapprove of his choice to ‘defect’. Instead he says- Remember, when you are the bottom there is nowhere to go but up. This is so profound. They are simple words that hold so much wisdom and strength. From that point on, these words anchor Brooker through everything. 

This story is inspiring. It is riveting. It is a remarkable journey. The author is honest and open. He is transparent. He does not leave out his moments of weakness and doubt.
