Informal Letter

Dear Mr. Bill Mondale, 

Greetings! Kindly allow me to express my concerns regarding the frequent illness affecting the technicians involved in the insulation-development program. Based on the results obtained from the preliminary investigation, the technician suffers from a similar condition-bronchial irritation of varying degrees of severity. The condition tends to stop or lessen within the first two or three days after they break off from their work. Their health improves when they are away from the exposure. Hypothetically, the above condition (bronchial irritation) is due to certain substances utilized in the insulation-development program. 

I have tried to conduct further investigation to identify the specific material causing the condition but all in vain. The company physician could not establish a nexus between bronchial irritation and any substance used in the project. My concerns are that if the above issue is not addressed as soon as possible, there might be severe consequences to be faced by the company in the long run. The insulation-development project has a potential risk to the public and employee health, and this will cause adverse effects to the company. 

I, therefore, propose a temporary closure of the project to allow time for comprehensive research which will determine the precise cause of the bronchial irritation. The results obtained from the investigation will be used to provide viable recommendations and solutions to the issue of the employees and the public at large. I believe that the potential risk to the public and employees’ health is far more critical than the cost of researching the problem. The company has the potential of losing thousands of dollars it knowingly proceeds to sells the materials that are indeed a health risk to human beings. 

I presume that my course of action will be considered and implemented as soon as possible.
