Stylistic Authority

While describing my personal sense of style, I would state that I normally dress like a fashion business individual. To illustrate, most clothes are black, but they are also supplemented with cream, grey, navy, brown and some white attires. Generally, all my clothes have solid colors apart some few sweaters that contain stripes. Still, I have a great attachment with high quality and classic clothes with a twist, hence, my philosophy is to concentrate on the actual model and more unusual attires since they never become outdated. Still, I always like different fragrances including spicy, animatic, warm, Byzantine, rich and resinous. Based on the above information, I can describe my style as trendy since the above clothes seem to keep up with the latest designs. 

Indeed, there are multiple things that influence my sense of style. First, comfort is one of the elements that affect my style since I always prefer to wear clothes that make me feel comfortable, that is, these attires are not very tight and they do not induce any anxiety. Functionality is another element that affects my dressing code. For instance, I opt to buy a flat and rubber shoes since they serve different purposes such as acting as casual outings and I can also wear them while going to work. Moreover, simplicity is another factor that guides me while choosing the clothes to wear. In consideration with easiness aspect, I normally prefer to have attires that will not make me appear unique or strange while being in the public.

Furthermore, I still wear clothes and shoes that align with my preferred colors. To be specific, most of my attires such as shoes, bags, glasses, and watches have blue and black colors, but I also try to incorporate other solid colors such as white, grey, brown, navy and cream. More importantly, body structure and shape is another significant determinant of my attire. Indeed, I often stick to the clothes that align with my height and breadth. At this point, I opt to have properly tailored and well-fitting clothes since they accentuate the figure of my body. 

My visual presentation has a significant implication to the community members. To illustrate, the contemporary community is associating the code of dressing with financial status, personal behaviors, and social life. In consideration with the above statement, my entire tells the world that I am focused and disciplined, hence, I act as a role model to young individuals who want to be presentable in the society. Moreover, my clothes also represent moral values and ethics that I have acquired from parents as well as adorable individuals within society. In addition, the aspect of being closely attached to colors such as blue, grey and black indicates that I have authority over my life as well as being focused on all my activities.  

Patronage

A patron is more important during the process of producing artwork. To illustrate, the patronage refers to the support, financial aid, privilege, and encouragement that an individual or the organization bestow to another party venturing into the artistic activities. In this case, the patronage of arts offers different types of artists such as painters, musicians, and sculptors with necessary aid in order to enhance growth and development of their talents. On the other hand, patronage represents the right of possessing offices or organizational benefices, where the entities or individuals involved in arts normally receive moral support and guardianship in their entire activities. 

On the other hand, patronage is a phrase utilized to describe the resources for rewarding individuals for their artistic inventions and innovations. In this case, there exist several patronage systems that are utilized to assess and identify individuals and organizations that require different types of aids meant to support artworks. As a matter of fact, patrons are helpful since they pave ways for supporting upcoming and already established artists through utilizing gifts, contracts and appoints. Based on the above information, it is clear that a patron is more beneficial compared to artists particularly during the production of the artwork. 

During the process of commissioning artwork to specific artists, I need to have guidelines that will help me to determine the freedom to be granted to the selected party. In this case, I have to ensure that the artist is capable of delivering the work within the required time as well as ascertaining that this person has met the intended quality of the final work. However, I am also supposed to give the artistic creativity freedom by offering him or her with the right to select color, posture, and type of materials to be utilized in the work of art. As a matter of fact, the above provision will ascertain that the artists have done a better job through freely incorporating his or her skills and innovativeness. In consideration with the above information, it occurs that artists normally achieve quality work if they work without being interrupted by the project owners. 

Subject Matter and Social Class

Mass media is an essential factor in contemporary culture particularly in America. In connection with the above information, sociologists reefer media as the mediated culture. Indeed, different people and individuals seem to be bombarded frequently with the messages from various sources inkling the billboards, television, and scholarly materials among others. The messages contained in the above sources are useful not only to market the organizational products, but it is also useful to boost the attitudes, moods, and the sense of important things. Moreover, the mass media is also useful in enhancing the celebrity since without the intervention of news media, magazines and movies it could be challenging to send information to many individuals across the world. In contemporary community, there are several singers, social elites and actors taking advantage of mass media to become popular in the entire community.

On the other hand, there is confidential information indicating that the media has not saturated the entire world. To be specific, in between the 1960s and 1970s there existed a single public broadcasting, three major networks, and just a few locally operating stations. Conversely, the above channels basically focused on middle-class families, but individuals in this class did not even possess any television station. Presently, it is not a wonder to find a television in the poorest homes, whereas the big percentage of these TVs are present in the middle-class homes. Apart from the increasing number of TVs, the programming is rising increasingly with many shows that focus on pleasing people in all incomes, attitudes, backgrounds, and ages. Based on the above information, the widespread exposure and availability of mass-media services aim at holding discussions meant for promoting effectual interaction with the community member. Furthermore, the role of the internet has exponentially increased because of many individuals signing on households and business activities. Devoid of Internet and TV dominating the mass media, magazines and movies, specifically those lining the aisles within the checkout points seem to play a vital cultural role. 

However, there are several values portrayed by the American middle class. In the illustration, the concept of middle-class values is utilized by multiple politicians and writers to refer to various qualities including self-discipline, hard work, honesty, ambition, and aspiration. In consideration with the above information, individuals in upper or lower class can still have the middle-class values. Otherwise, the current politicians in Western nations commonly appreciate different values upheld by middle-class families. By observing the above details, it occurs that middle-class individuals are the determinant of the most behaviors of the members of a given country. 

In a like manner, the middle-class values are linked with cultural hegemony and capital over western modern cultures. Indeed, the middle-class values are therefore imposed on the whole community through cultural and economic means, hence, indicating that the individuals living with western modernity bounds should conform to middle-class expectations for them to gain an entrée into the cultural or wealth legibility. By considering the above information, it occurs that the middle-class values are often transmitted from parents to kids by employers, schools, and mainstream media including the quintessentially middle-class mass media. 

The Academy

De Anza College refers to a community college located in California at Cupertino and it is recognized as the Apple’s center. Irrespective of this campus being highly ranked for transferring CSUs and UCs, there are many things that need to be improved in this institution. For instance, this management in this learning institution should come up with an advanced method for handling sexual assault cases. To be specific, the 2013’s report indicates that a certain student was had received several emails concerning the assault scenario and he was provided with an image of perpetrator prior to ceasing any extra correspondence amid the student body and the school official. Up to date, there is sufficient information showing that there was no legal action taken against the above perpetrator since the management intervened to the situation through holding an event to address issues relating to safety rather than arresting the criminals. Since 2013, there are no further organized occasions for handling negative implications of sexual assaults as well as promoting safety within and around the campus. Moreover, this college is affected by the shortage of counselors where the students are forced to wait for many hours before their issues being addressed. As a matter of fact, this incidence is contributing to wastage of time since this learning institution is unable to handle the increased number of students who want educational advice. Furthermore, this college is confirmed to have faced several challenges while trying to solve the appointment issues. Indeed, this learning institution seems to lack competent agencies and individuals who should make quality and competitive selection of workers in an effective and efficient manner. 

If I were the DASB Senator, there are numerous course of action I will take in order to handle the increased challenges in De Anza College. In the first place, I would appoint the team of investigators who will carry out exploration meant to identify the individuals who are involved in criminal activities within the college. Moreover, I would come up with strict rules and regulations guiding all the institutional stakeholders, hence, ensuring that all the persons found guilty of participating in any criminal act are punished and dealt with them legally. Moreover, I am going to recruit a team of experts with the capability of offering advice to individuals needing consultation. On the same note, I am going to offer extra training to already functioning advisers to ascertain that they are capable of handling presented issues in an effective and efficient manner. As a matter of fact, all the above guidelines will facilitate continued growth and development in De Anza College. 

Romanticism

There are several types of art trends that affect me emotionally. To illustrate, the aesthetic or emotional response towards the art is considered as the primary stimulus-response, although the new research and theories denote that these aspects are more complex and they can be studied experimentally. Still, the emotional responses are always taken as the keystone to art experience as well as the creation of emotional experience. For instance, the fictional presence has been making me be emotional. To be specific, the artistic emotions in fiction writing, theatre performance, painting, music, photography, sculpture, and video or film tend to have the contents that move me. 

Moreover, the Meta-emotion arts are forms of art that makes me feel being distressed. In consideration with the above information, the above types of art contain several feelings that occur within a single time. To illustrate, these arts portray things that people encounter when they immediately look a certain type of artwork. Generally, the above category entails artworks, which are well-structured although they do not have appropriate features and they may also lack technical skills. For instance, when I come across perfectly painted chairs or sculpture of Christ on the cross, I become emotional to an extent of crying. In particular, through seeing the image of the crucified Jesus I relate it with a suffering incidence, hence, ending up weeping. 

On the other hand, when I encounter painting showing hostile things such as victimization and fight I become emotional. In this case, the intimidating arts portrays angry and frustrated individuals, hence, they are characterized by the continuum displeasure. As a matter of fact, the above types of arts normally motivate self-assertion and aggression as well as violence. In addition, I am also expressively affected by the types of arts that reflect people’s actions such as shame, pride, guilt, embarrassment, and regret. Indeed, there are many things that make me be affected by the features demonstrated in artworks. For instance, I have heard physically experienced brutal cases and heard of many individuals encountering challenges and when I see images with such memories, I am always affected negatively.

Realism

The Iwo Jima’s work is among photojournalism presented in the in the New York Times. To be specific, this artwork contains an iconic snapshot taken on 23^rd February in 1945 by Joe Rosenthal and it also portrays six members of the United States Marines hovering American flag on the top of Mount Suribachi in the Iwo Jima war. This image was first put into the public on 25^th February 1945 in Sundays Newspaper where it was initially reprinted in multiple publications. Later, this picture was recognized by Americans as the most famous and significant image of battle. In particular, this image plays a role in shaping American culture in a deep and profound manner. Indeed, when the individuals present during the Vietnam battle sees this picture they vividly remember horrific experiences during the war. On the other hand, this image also symbolizes the public idea to oppose the Vietnam battle. 

Furthermore, the above image portrays two distinct detailed hallmarks, that is, the Vietnam War and the Civil Rights movement. In consideration of Civil Rights aspect, this image shows that there is no single person live this era and does not remember police dogs and fire horses that were used against protestors in Alabama. At this point, the United States flag is used as a tool that was applied to spread the message about the rebellion in Boston led by Rev. Martin Luther King. Irrespective of the notion that photojournalistic ethics are available in the imagery collection, the above picture is used to portray the ethical principles of the protestors. 

In addition, Joe Rosenthal’s caption presents the challenges experienced by the community members during the Vietnam war as well as showing the difficulties faced by the journalist while trying to cover unethical practices during this era. In relation to the above information, the raised flag in this picture represents the turning point or the end of the war that subjected civilians to great suffering. More importantly, the core meaning of the above image was to show the militants’ victory over their opponents. Conversely, the photo by Joe Rosenthal will be always remembered by all American generations as well as by people in the entire world since it is a reminder of the Vietnam War.
