Justin Bieber should rewrite the National Anthem.
Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and songwriter popular among the teens for his catchy tunes and relationship with popular artists. Justin Bieber music genre includes teen pop, contemporary R&B, pop, electro, dance-pop, dubstep, synth-pop, and seasonal. On the proposal to have him rewrite the United States national anthem, I agree. Firstly, the national anthem was designed to evoke emotions in listeners and help them connect with their country, the society it represents, and improve their patriotism. However, according to Abril (2007), young people in the United States considered the national anthem last in their list of showing their patriotism. Notably, a majority of the people only know the first stanza lyrics, which is probably the reason why a majority of the people are less likely to sign it. Justin Bieber relates to the young people, his music is lively and does not only evoke emotions; but the audience can also hum the lyrics. By having Bieber rewrite the national anthem, it will help create a connection between the young people and their country, because Justin is someone the younger generation can relate with and can memorize the lyrics.
