About the Tribal Leadership and its different stages, it is good to be able to explore new avenues for most of the levels of leadership. In the supervisory level, it would be a great idea if there is another skill level that could be learned, and that is the conceptual skill level. Instead of having a low conceptual skill level, it should be medium (Mann, 1959). However, this should be taught by the institution itself, and this would enable one to add value to themselves and their job. The reason why this suggestion has been brought up is to allow the person to at this level to be able to handle responsibilities at the middle level if no one is available to do so and eventually even at the top level once their conceptual skill is high enough (Chin, 2015).
The middle level of leadership is perhaps the most pivotal because it is a link between the top and the supervisory. Most of the people at this level eventually become the top level person. However, the suggestion would be also to enable the person at the middle tier to also learn new technical skills as they go by. This is because they will be able to show the people who are late how to go about things, and this is something that could be useful due to their vast experience (Chin, 2015).
The top-level person, most of the time, has been able to get to that level due to their conceptual skills, which are the most critical skill at this level. This is where they are needed to know how to go about new ideas by being innovative. However, it is also essential that their technical skills are up to date (Logan, 2015). This is because they can be able to come up with new ideas about how individual technical skills could be improved and enhanced to go along with the technology.
Conclusion
Companies should be alert to the changes that are taking place around specific industries and that some of these levels need multifaceted persons. It is therefore, on the order that these institutions teach and nurture some of these aspects in their employees.
