Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs) are organizations that are not part of the
government and they are not formed with an aim of making profits. Since they do not constitute
the government, they do not get funding from the government’s budget. There are different
stakeholders that constitute a non- governmental organization including creditors, directors,
suppliers, employees, the government and community. The actions, policies and objectives of an
organization affect the stakeholders. The most important stakeholder in an NGO is the one who
keeps the funds available. NGOs are driven by the purpose for which it was created for and the
availability of funds to keep it going. Some NGOs are known to be solutions for policy
problems. Apart from working with the government and the private sectors, there is a growing
trend that NGOs work with donors.
