Controversial Challenges Facing President Trump

Since his inauguration as the president of US, President Trump has had to deal with a myriad of controversies in his administration. During a confession to the president of China Xi Jinxing,( The Telegraph 22nd April 2017), Trump admitted that despite his credentials it wasn’t easy for him. Some of the controversial challenges include:

Failure of a bill to repeal to affordable Obama Healthcare. House Republicans were forced to withdraw a Health Care Bill which had been brought forward and was to replace the Affordable Care Act.  They had to do so as it was crystal clear that they had no majority who would pass the bill (Pear, Kaplan, & Haberman, 2017). Trump admitted that he had never imagined that the bill would not pass. The bill had faced a lot of opposition from the Democrats, and it had also created disagreement among the Conservative and the Democrats. The failure of the bill was quite a great failure in his administration.

Failure of Reinstatement of Immigration Ban from Muslim Dominated Countries. An executive order by Trump faced another failure after a Federal Appeals panel agreed altogether not to reinstate the said ban. The executive order which was blocking entry of Muslims from countries they dominated and refugees from those countries had also faced opposition from protesters who flooded all entry points. The failure of putting in place the said ban was a great failure of Trump in his administration.

Trump was chest thumping that he could come up with the best staff ever. However, Trump was faced with a lot of challenges after his appointees pulled out.  Some who made it to the dream team of Trump were sacked like Michael Flynn who only served for 23 days only getting into US books of History as the one who had served the shortest time ever as a National Security Advisor. His deputy McFarland too was also laid off. Mr. Trump Strategic advisor Steve Bannon had an altercation with Trump’s relatives and was soon after removed the Security Council. Others too like Mr. Kushner and Kellyanne Conway were rebuked for their lack of expertise and experience in their line of duty. Sean Spicer, the press secretary, too didn’t make things any better as he tried to put things into perspective in the eyes of the press. He became a laughing stoke (Buchanan, Palapiano, & Yourish, 2017).

Another major challenge that Trump, as had to with, is on poor foreign policy. There are investigations ongoing about Russia interfering with US elections. Trump was enraged after the said allegation. He thought of him not winning in a free and fair manner as he would have wanted. This has made the two countries to be in a poor working relation (Gaoutte & Herb, 2017). Trumps trusted confidante too were also alleged to have colluded with  Vladimir Putin’s government. Trump executive ban of Muslims has made those countries inhabited by Muslims to have a dislike of Trumps administration. This poor working relationship among countries is a great failure in Trumps administration. This ban too on immigrants would make most employees who are skilled from other countries seek jobs in the US due to fear. This would deny most companies from getting skilled labor.

Trump has had a hard time making important changes becoming hard to enact. Due to a lot of resistance from Congress and people close to Trump, a lot of radicle changes have become difficult to enact. In some instances, countries like China refused to trade with the US until  Trump would say the One  China policy strongly. Trump had to live with the fact that most of the promises given during campaigns as mere statements as they were difficult to fulfill while in power.

Family issues have also formed part of Trump’s challenges and unending controversies. Mr. Trump has faced a lot of challenges with his family too as the family has been living in New York and he has been trying much for them to remain happy as he works in White House.

People and Groups Opposed To Trumps Actions Today

Environmental Groups are one of the major groups that have strongly opposed some of the policies enacted by President Trump. The Environmental groups have come up with rafts of measures to ensure that Trump’s Executive Order that would see a stoppage of fossil fuel has not passed. They have hired lawyers who will go to court to block the same and initiate public protests all over. According to (Sampathkumar, 2017), the group is also opposed to Trump’s repeal of Obama Climate Rule.

Tribes and Conservation environmentalists have made moves aimed at opposing some of Trump’s agendas. As soon as Trump assented to the law that would reduce Grand Staircase-Escalante  Utah Bears Ears and national monuments, a number of tribes and significant number of Conservation and Environmental groups had to fill a suit in a Federal court as they claimed that Trump had done what he had no power of as per the constitution of U.S to do the same.( Navajo Times)

Group of companies is opposed to Trumps Immigration Ban. Some companies are opposed to Trump ban to immigration as it would be detrimental to their businesses and the economy of the country. They also argue that the ban would make it impossible for them to resource for employees from other countries.

Advocacy groups have not contended with some of the issues especially the ones seen as infringing on human rights. Advocacy groups against Trumps executive order to ban immigration especially from Muslim countries have protested against him. They have claimed that this order was aimed at separating people instead of uniting them. They have said Trump is putting their future of families at risk

Students and Activists protest was an indication of the opposition that Trump was facing soon after being elected. After Trump won the presidential seat, students and activists organized a lot of protests all over claiming Trump wasn’t their president. This dented the image of the newly elected president.

Faith groups against Trump ban on Immigration And Building A Barrier. Faith groups have opposed Trump’s executive ban on immigration, especially from Muslim Countries and refugees as an against their values. The building of a wall would also bring Separation instead of fostering unity. Catholics are also opposing Trump building a wall as it would also bring separation (Glover, 2017).

Outcomes with the Articles of Confederation in Us

This was the first constitution which had some advantages and still would be beneficial to the current USA. To mention some of the benefits: The articles exemplified the Congress, and it was able to foster a good working relationship with other states and good foreign policy. The Congress would talk with other countries on some issues affecting them, and the congress too would make Very important choices when need be. This gave the people more power through their representation.  With the new constitution, this prerogative vest with the president and most of the time he may end up making choices that are not people’s liking. The president may end up coming up with executive orders that might be detrimental on their relationship with other foreign countries since fewer consultations shall have been done.

The articles improved Closeness and friendship in the state. With this closeness, exchange of goods and services was facilitated, and ideas were exchanged. With this policy, the good foreign policy was enhanced. They were able to fight it out together. Decisions fostering their well being were also made and agreed upon. Unlike of late where an executive order which might be unfavorable to the foreign policy is issued including the building of barriers and movement restrictions.

The 13 states remained independent and there were no restrictions on other foreign countries and exchange of goods and services was facilitated. People were able to better themselves and got all privileges like any other citizen. Unlike now where with the president coming in and passing laws that shall restrict movement of some people. So with the articles of confederation, it would be better compared to now.

Being the first constitution, it served as a symbol of unity among all the state fostering peaceful co-existence. So with the US was still organized under the articles of confederations the results would be different.
