The purpose of this security architecture is to provide the basic architecture and design document for companies that develop applications that demonstrate interoperability of a simple security profile. This is an assurance network that oversees correct and safe working of networks and computer systems. The system architecture consist of three systems which include retailer system, manufacturer system, and web client application. The web client application of the HTML interface and determines how service providers are obtained, order items from the retailer, and which providers to obtain. Also, the configurator that is found in the web client application is used to select web service implementation and the logging facility web service. 

On the other hand, the retailer system comprised of the retailer web service application and three instances of warehouse web service. The retailer system therefore ensures that all goods in the retailer service are shipped to the three warehouses.  Besides, it ensures that the shipping of goods is secure and safe. The third portion is the manufacture system section which controls the operations of three manufacturers in each of the three web services. For this system, each portion has assets that have unique security needs that comprise of code, data, and configuration information. The system also operates in three different scenarios namely one-way, response or synchronous request, and basic callback. In one-way usage, messages are sent to the web service and there is no corresponding response. In the synchronous request, a SOPA requires triggers a SOAP response. Hence the communication is two way. Lastly, in the basic callback, a set of paired response messages are triggered to enable synchronous exchange.
