You will also have a chance to practice some smart strategies for managing your digital presence in your own “online” social networks.

Answer:

The chosen status of the status set is team leader

The role of a team leader is to provide with proper instructions, guide and monitor the team he or she is leading. The team leader has to communicate and advise each of the team. The leader needs to make major decisions as required to achieve the goal. The leader becomes a role model for the team.

I learned the role while I was in a group of 10 students, where we were given a group project on the topic of intercultural differences. There one of the friends was the team leader assigned by the teacher. He used to guide each of us and helped by giving appropriate solutions where ever needed.

Role conflict

The two chosen statuses are teacher and sister

A status of a teacher plays a role to teach in school and a role as a mother in the house. This can result in role conflict.

The situation begins as it was a parent-teacher meeting in the school where I teach as a science teacher. On the same day, the teacher of my daughter studying in another school informed me to receive my daughter early due to some reason. It was a bit difficult for me to leave the school working hour and go out to bring her. There was no other family member whom I could ask for help.

The status sister plays two roles, first as a friend and second as a sister.

The situation started, I have a young sister at home who was alone at home waiting for me to bring lunch as our parents went to some relative’s house. That day my friend had an accident while returning from university and I was alone there to help her to reach home back. He uses to stay here in the flat alone, as he came here to study from another country. He was my class mate, and it was my responsibility to help him. However, my sister was alone at home waiting for me to bring her food.

The two different ways to solve the first case are:

  • I could ask my friend to go and pick my daughter from her school.
  • Or, I could ask for an urgent leave in the school.

The two different ways to solve the second case are:

  • I could have asked my neighbor for help, to provide my sister with lunch for the day.
  • I could take my friend who faced the accident, to my place.

For the first case

That day I took a leave from school and went to bring my daughter. It resulted out to be my worse decision because later on I realized that instead I could have asked my daughter’s friend’s parents to take her with them and after my work I would have received her.

For the second case

That day I ranged up my sister and told her wait for me as I will be late because I chose to take my friend at his place and then return home. The result of my decision, made my sister starve till evening. From next time onwards, if any day the same happens with me I would inform my neighbor to help me.

Part B

Social Network

The chosen area of interest is to work as a member of the friends club. This club serves the role of a social group and helps needful people in several ways as possible.

The three peoples are:

  • Person A is a class mate working with me there as a member of the club
  • Person B is my father who knows the club leader and many times helps us with certain situations.
  • Person C is the leader of the group who guides us and takes decisions on how to create awareness related to social issues.

I will choose person A as the best contact for me to communicate because he is my friend and we share the same interest in almost identical fields. He is kind by his nature, loving, happy and believes in spreading love everywhere. Many times he informs me about several of social events taking place in the city, and we together form the best team to work positively.

Positive Impression

The first person who saw my profile was the team leader of the social working group, whom I identified above in the social network. After seeing my profile, he must assume that the account is well organized and presented professionally. It must also grab his attention and interest towards my account to scroll down for more information and read them. Lastly, my account should impress him to that extent that the next time he meets me and inquires me about the profile.

The five components of a professional networking profile are:

  1. The headline should be attractive
  2. The profile picture should be professional enough.
  3. The user name and biography in the profile.
  4. Things should not be left blank. In other words, it should be complete to attract people and avoid turnoff.
  5. The background provided should be firm and exciting enough to grab viewers interest.

The headline is -Doing small things with big effort. Interesting! Come join us.
