Social Media Usage Policies for Companies

I trust that this finds you well. I was writing to inform you of the policies at my company regarding the content of social media sites. This is after your request for my help in securing a job at the company where I work. I have noticed that your social media site have content that is not acceptable by the company policy rules. The company policy is against any posts on social media that includes drugs and alcohol use. I would request that you take down the pictures of your friends smoking bhang and holding bottles of alcohol. There are also political activism posts; like the posts which castigate the gun control laws and where you have expressed your joy in Donald Trump’s election over Hillary Clinton’s weak campaign tactics.  This is because the company promotes political diversity among employees where no employee should feel side lined because of their political affiliations. This will ensure that you can easily pass the test when they check your social media sites. Failure to delete these pictures and post will automatically disqualify you from being interviewed further. 

The company rules on social media are many but the most important ones are;

1. The employees should not share socially explicit images on their social media platforms
2. Employees of the company should not praise the use of drugs and alcohol; only posts sensitizing the public against the use of these substances are considered correct.
3. The political views of the employees should not appear on their social media sites.
4. The employee’s religious beliefs should be kept away from their social media sites

These are just a few of the company policies on the use of social media by employees. This is because, the employees are expected to be brand ambassadors on social media and in their daily interactions with the society. It is also the company policy that any employee arrested in possession of illegal drugs and substances will face immediate termination.

I needed to tell you about these regulations so that you clean your social media sites ahead of applying for the position you wanted in the company. I wish you all the best and hope you get the job.
