Human trafficking refers to the act of selling and buying people with an aim of carrying out commercial sexual exploitation, sexual slavery, and forced labor among several trafficking practices. On the other hand, neglect, discrimination, and stigma also prevent treatment and care from reaching individuals with mental issues. 

In addition, the lack of urgency, competing demands, misinformation also blind the policy-makers from taking necessary measures for preventing and treating mental diseases. Currently, mental disorders are among the ranked health issues in the entire world and the number of individuals affected by these illnesses has been increasing in a gradual manner since the time it was revealed. Nevertheless, the WHO’s report denotes that the poor always bear the biggest burden of mental illness since they do not have the access to treatment. However, the aspect of being exposed to dangerous living conditions, stressful events, poor health, and exploitation still increase the chances of having mental diseases (World Health Organization, 2019). In general, the national governments should take the necessary actions to prevent mental disorders since it affects the nation in an adverse manner.
