Summary of the Blackboard Collaborate Session

Relating the Session with the Class work Activities that have been carried out in the Health Class
This session gives an overview of all topics covered in this health class. These topics are
those, which are compiled to equip health educators in order to help them teach health education
to children as needed. Thus, they follow standards, which take, into consideration learning
abilities and needs of students and they allow teachers to teach creatively following the interests
of the children. This implies that the training of this course is one that aims at ensuring that
students become health literate. This objective is one, which is measured using evaluative
exercises that teachers are supposed to use to determine if students have become masters in
health education.
To improve teaching, the topics covered in this class are those, which consider how the
society has become culturally diverse, and this development is one, which teachers need to be
competent on in order to promote learning. In addition to this, learning abilities of students with
special needs are also considered by additional use of technologies in teaching. This effort does
inform that health education is an important subject to all children and it is important that
children become highly knowledgeable in order to be able to live healthy lives. This long-term
goal is part of the national objectives of any national government.
