The battle between these providers is likely to cause a big leap in the improvement of the mHealth technology. It is very probable that eventually, the mHealth applications we all utilize in our phones will be improved. The applications are going to be easier to use, secure and more capable. The interest in the technology is uplifting. Eventually, there will be another means for patients to get the right to use to much looked-for services securely, cheaply and easily. The article highlights a concept that is of major concern to public health. Unless reliable mHealth applications are provided, it may fail. The spotlight the concept of mHealth has received in the recent years specifically provides hope to patients whose major concern is privacy. With the attention the companies have given it, the future of mHealth is bright.

Your post is detailed and enlightening. You are right about the necessity of privacy in mHealth. It would be useless to have a technology of the magnitude of mHealth if patient privacy was compromised. With this regard, it is very necessary for companies like Apple to put more of their attention towards giving better applications that recognize the right of patient privacy. Any product in the health industry is often far more improved if privacy is prioritized. mHealth is no different, if it lacks privacy, it is null and void.

As a matter of fact, mHealth is far from mature. The Health sector needs applications that are more reliable and more secure. It is vital that patient information be secured. To be secured, health professionals have a role to play. They should only obtain applications from reliable providers to ensure that patient information is not put in the wrong hands. It is necessary that the government intervenes by testing all applications that are provided to ensure that the services they offer are acceptable and to ensure availability of good applications.
