The Adventures of Fawn: ‘Til the Last Snowflake Falls

‘The Adventures of Fawn: ‘Til the Last Snowflake Falls’ is a thrilling fantasy book that has characters which are adored by young readers. The book follows the story of Fawn, a young reindeer who disliked how her parents treated her like a baby. Life in Santa’s village was becoming dull for Fawn. She yearned to explore other areas and learn about stuff in the outside world. I loved how determined she was. The poor reindeer imagined herself as mature enough for the world yet her parents still felt she was too young. Being four and a half months old, Fawn thought that she deserved a different experience away from the stables. I enjoyed reading the interactions between Fawn and her parents. She had a little rebellious attitude in her but did not want to hurt her parents, even when she thought that they stood in her way of exploring the life she wanted.

It was such a relief for Fawn and the reader when she finally got the chance to taste the life she wanted. Her adventures with her friends were fun and exhilarating to follow even for old readers. The author did a fantastic job in creating the character in Fawn. Here was a reindeer who wanted independence and liberation from her boring life. The freedom she so much longed for finally came and she enjoyed hanging out with her friends and exploring a life different from that in Santa’s village. For young readers, Fawn presents a character that most children can relate to.  She wants to discover new things but is stopped by parents; typical of all parents because of how protective they are.

In her adventures, Fawn comes across situations which are challenging to her and so she had to think of solutions fast. Fawn also loves her friends and enjoys the activities they engage in together. Almost everything about Fawn is relevant to children. Fawn is also an exciting and charming character. Even when disagreeing with her parents Comet and Vixen, Fawn still appeared lovable to the readers. This book has plenty of lessons for both young and old readers. Through the characters, we see how making friends is an amazing thing and why we should ask for help when faced with situations we cannot handle.

The book is a stirring read, especially during the holidays. Children who love reading fantasy stories will enjoy every chapter in the book as the author’s style of writing is magical. ‘The Adventures of Fawn: ‘Til the Last Snowflake Falls’ was brilliantly written. Al E. Boy is an excellent writer who knows how to arrange a sensational plot. The storyline is amusing and electrifying. The sentences are easy to read and simple for the comprehension of young readers. One other thing that makes this book amazing is the author’s use of vivid description. Al E. Boy went into detail when describing characters, events and other objects in the book, making the reading engaging. I rate the book with 4 out of 5 stars.
